BRI has a long history of effective advocacy for historic preservation, from the Let’s Save It! campaign that helped save the courthouse and covered many rear bumpers with stickers, to supporting efforts to locally designate buildings and neighborhoods historic.
BRI keeps up with local preservation matters, takes stands on key issues, and marshals support for needed local legislation. Our members receive updates on issues and notices of important hearings.
Of course, our success at saving buildings and getting them restored is one of the strongest ways we advocate for preservation. Our restoration successes show preservation makes sense, creating jobs and revitalizing neighborhoods.
